The Dartboard can be set up in just three easy steps: Step 1: Measure 5’8 inches from the floor up. Mark the spot with a pencil. Step 2: Hang the dartboard so that bullseye will lie where you made the mark. (most dartboards have the hook on the back of the board centered with the bullseye, If not you will need to measure the distance from the hook to the bullseye.) Step 3: Throw line: You can use a tape to mark your throw line exactly 7 feet 91/4 inches from the face of the dartboard. (measure this line from the FACE of the dartobard and not the face of the wall.)
**The difference between the set up of a steel tip dartboard and a soft tip dartboard is the distance of the throw line for the soft tip darboard should be 8 feet.
